hamlet
I was recently in a production of Hamlet at Trinity College as King Claudius. I had a lot of fun with this role, especially since at a first glance many (including my cast mates) wouldn’t expect this role to fit my personality. I loved having a chance to tap into my more aggressive and masculine side. I’ve added a footage from one of the more vulnerable moments, Claudius’ monologue in the middle of the play, to my “PORTFOLIO” page. To watch the entire play, you can follow this link: https://trincoll.mediaspace.kaltura.com/media/Hamlet+complete+Act+One+and+Act+Two/1_sknemtw3
period scene study
Recently, I’ve been working on a scene from A View from the Bridge with my friend Roman for our Period Scene Study class. I’m playing Catherine and he is playing Eddie. The scene is definitely still a work-in-progress, but it seems to be coming a long nicely. I’ll be sure to upload a video soon. We have our final demonstration coming up in a week and if I can remember to have someone film, I’ll add it to my reel. Here’s a behind-the-scenes-picture of us in rehearsal:
I’m also super excited about the scene I’ve been working on in my Contemporary Scene Study class. It’s from The Harvest by Samuel D. Hunter. I’d never heard of the play until very recently, but it’s about Evangelical missionaries preparing to leave for the Middle East. I play the sister of the protagonist, Michaela. The scene is very powerful and interesting and I’m really proud of the work we’ve done with it. I can’t wait until our final demo.
